Case, Edith G.
Edith G. Case, 89, of Peoria, Ill., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at 11:30 p.m. at her residence.
She was born July 26, 1923, in Peoria, to Harry and Prudence (Quinlan) Gillespie. She married Martin Case June 28, 1942 in Peoria. He passed away in Chicago in 1980. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Gillespie Jr. and Frank Gillespie.
Survivors include several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Edith worked for Hiram Walker for 24 years until its closing. While there she held the position of private secretary to the president of Hiram Walker.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at American Mausoleum in Peoria. Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
