Bike helmet giveaway helpful, orderly

Kudos to the Cedar Rapids Police Department for providing free bicycle helmets to kids as a part of National Safe Kids Week. This event was well organized and there were many people on hand to help with the program and give away items that appealed to the kids. There were volunteers to properly fit the helmets.
I was impressed with the orderliness of the people waiting in line and the behavior of the children. There were many smiling faces as the children left with their brightly colored bicycle helmets.
