Austin Bartholomew's walkoff RBI single gave Class 1A No. 2 Van Buren a 3-2, 10-inning win over No. 3 Lisbon in a battle of the last two undefeated prep baseball teams in the state Tuesday.
The two teams competed in the final game of a triangular at the University of Iowa's Duane Banks Field, both handily beating Pekin earlier in the day.
The Lions lit the scoreboard first in the second inning on Colton Krobe's RBI bloop single to center. They made it a 2-0 game moments later on Brett Givens' sacrafice groundout.
Van Buren responded with a run in the bottom of the second, tying the game in the fourth.
Lisbon falls to 22-1. Van Buren is now 22-0.
