Letter: Iowa House thanked for passing bill

We would like to thank the Iowa House for passing the bill that is protecting the rights of property owners across Iowa.
We agree we need clean reliable energy. But there are always two sides to every story.
A private company should not be able to come on our property and build huge high voltage lines without our voluntary consent. There are plenty of roads, waterways and etc. for these power lines to run on without going through productive farm ground. They should have to get 75 percent of the route voluntarily before going to the utilities board for their petition of eminent domain.
Let's hope the senators also will realize that property owners need their rights protected when this bill comes their way and will pass it through.
