Thanks to residents for memorable Honor Flight

I was on the Honor Flight on April 22 to Washington, D.C. It was a great trip and I'll never forget it.
The highlights of the trip were the 35 letters from my family and friends that were given to me on our flight home and when we got off the plane in Cedar Rapids. I couldn't believe on a weeknight at midnight that there were that many people to welcome us home. It was like we won the Super Bowl and the World Series on the same day.
I take my hat off to the people from Cedar Rapids for making my day.
