Cheney lost credibility on national security
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Feb. 20, 2010 11:21 pm
Former Vice President Dick Cheney and current Vice President Joe Biden recently sparred about the issue of national security. Cheney needs to just go away.
It was on the former administration's watch that the worst terrorist disaster in American history occurred, in which 3,000 innocent American citizens were slaughtered. President George Bush and Cheney were told one month in advance that the attack was likely to occur and didn't stop it.
Cheney has no credibility on this issue. He had the intelligence and he failed to save 3,000 lives. His words now are disingenuous at best. Every time he opens his mouth to criticize our current president, he reminds us of his failure.
