Hoelscher cares about the district's welfare

I support Sally Hoelscher for election to the Iowa City school board. Hoelscher emphasizes the need for the board to be a booster rather than a critic of our schools. Most important, she will read, talk to people, study issues and bring an intelligent viewpoint to meetings.
West High School parents such as myself can feel comfortable supporting Hoelscher, a City High mom, because she genuinely cares about the welfare of the entire district.
A question has been raised about Hoelscher's attitudes toward organized labor. Although she has not had the opportunity to join a union, I think you will find her a solid supporter of the people who are so important to the day-to-day success of the schools.
