What a wonderful story (Jan. 13) about the youth from Lisbon who are involved in the student-led anti-bullying program. Thank you, Dave Rasdal, for writing the story and thanks to The Gazette for putting it on the front page.
This story accomplishes so much. It lets us all know about the good that teenagers are doing. Too often we only hear about the negative. This story also makes us aware of what these high schoolers are doing about bullying. Schools are trying to deal with this important issue.
Perhaps this student-led program can get the message across to elementary students. Younger students tend to admire the older students in their school.
We know bullying is wrong and we must all look for ways to stop it. Kudos to these students for stepping up.
