Need right woman, not just any woman

It's not enough to elect a woman from Iowa to Congress just because she is female if she doesn't support the issues important to women.
Congressman Dave Loebsack has voted for bills that improve women's lives, including increasing funds for breast and ovarian cancer and stem-cell research, protecting reproductive rights, increasing college student aid and the minimum wage, and ending wage discrimination.
His vote for the Affordable Health Care Act helped eliminate the Medicare “doughnut-hole” drug coverage gap and saved almost 4,000 Iowa families per year from bankruptcy.
Congressman Loebsack's opponent, Mariannette Miller-Meeks, wants to repeal the Affordable Health Care Act, and take away all of the benefits for women. She would have voted to privatize Social Security.
If she had her way, women would once again be charged as much as 50 percent more than men for health insurance and still be denied coverage for “pre-existing conditions” such as pregnancy, or be dropped from their insurance if they become sick.
Thanks to Dave Loebsack, our seniors don't have to trust Wall Street. They can still count on their Social Security benefits.
Send Dave Loebsack back to Congress and send the right woman, a woman who agrees with him on these issues, to Washington, Roxanne Conlin for U.S. Senate.
