Feller, Warren Glenn
Warren Glenn Feller, 88, of Grundy Center, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, with Pastor Matt Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center. Visitation: Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Engelkes Abels Funeral Home.
Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church, the Kling Memorial Library, and the Grundy County Memorial Hospital.

Warren was born April 2, 1921, in Dubuque, the son of LeRoy and Gladys (Jones) Feller. He was raised in Dubuque and graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1939. Warren served his country proudly in the United States Army from Feb. 1943 to Nov. 1945. On Feb. 11, 1946, he was united in marriage to Lois Marie Luchsinger. The couple made their home in Grundy Center for 63 years where they owned and operated Feller's Variety Store retiring in 1985. Warren was a life long member of the Grundy Center United Methodist Church serving on various committees including Sunday school Superintendent. He was a past board member of The Grundy Center City Council, the Grundy Center School Board, Grundy National Bank, The Grundy Center Chamber of Commerce, where he served as the first president and past president and board member of VSC.
Survivors include his two daughters, Beth Thompson of Reinbeck, and Pat Kooiker of Marengo; a son, Larry Feller of Marion; Beth's friend, Les Burns of Hudson; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren: and two sister-in-laws, Adele Feller of Dubuque, and Grace Feller of Sioux Falls, S.D.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois on July 7, 2009; son-in-law, Lyle Kooiker; and two brothers, John W. Feller and Wallace Feller.
