Johnson and Cedar County voters have an important opportunity to fix two big disasters Republicans have created for the sick, disabled, veterans and older Iowans.
Thanks to Republican leadership Iowa has the worst Medicaid privatization and the worst medical cannabis programs in the country. No easy feat! Rep. Bobby Kaufmann deserves credit for helping create this mess.
Over the past three years he has voted repeatedly to support legislation, Republican leaders and their efforts go full steam ahead on Medicaid privatization and create a defective medical cannabis program that does nothing to end the needless suffering of thousands of Iowans. I know Bobby can talk a good game, but his votes provide all the evidence you need.
I have worked tirelessly to create a medical cannabis program and fix Medicaid. I can say without any hesitation that if Bobby and his Republican colleagues remain in charge in 2019 Iowans will continue to needlessly suffer.
Jodi Clemens is a good listener and hard working. She will do more than make excuses. She will vote to make these programs and our state government work again for people. Please think about it. Please support Jodi for real change!
