VICTOR - One person died Sunday and two others were injured in a two-car crash on Interstate 80 in Iowa County.
The Iowa State Patrol said a car driven by David Walker, 42, of Marshalltown, was westbound on I-80 east of Victor around 3:15 p.m. when it crossed the median and struck an eastbound SUV driven by Ian Mulliner, 49, of Woodstock, Ill. Both vehicles ended up in the ditch.
Walker was pronounced dead at the scene. Mulliner and passenger Mary Relic, 47, also of Woodstock, were injured and were taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. No information on their conditions was available late Sunday.
The crash shut down a portion of I-80 eastbound, backing up traffic for miles. The patrol has since reopened all lanes of that portion of the interstate.
