Loeffler, Ruth Elizabeth

Ruth Elizabeth Loeffler, 89, of Beaverton, Ore., formerly of Brighton, died May 21, 2011, at Serenity Care in Beaverton. There will be no service or burial at her request. Her cremains will be returned to Brighton.

Survivors include her children, Dixie Emry and Pam (Tom) Franklin; brother, Dick Shuppy; grandchildren, Mark and Mike Emry, Kim (Braden) Barrett and Tomi (Curtis) Kluver' and great-grandchildren, Brock Emry, Tyler and Haley Barrett and Noah and Adli Kluver.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard; brother, Leonard Shuppy; son-in-law, Howard Emry; nine brothers-in-law and six sisters-in-law.

Ruth was born in Brighton, Iowa on Aug. 10, 1921, to Walter and Mabel (Lamansky) Shuppy. She attended country school and graduated from Brighton High School in 1938. On March 5, 1941, she married Willard Loeffler. She lived most of her life around Brighton until moving to Oregon in 2010.
