Josephine "Jo" Wiley, 84, passed away Monday, Feb. 19, 2018.
She is survived by her sons, Jim of Alpharetta, Ga., and David of Longmont, Colo.
Her husband, Bob, died in 2009; and her daughter, Elizabeth, in 2016.
Jo graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in pharmacy and married Bob shortly thereafter. She spent three years in Germany as a military wife and three more in San Francisco while Bob worked on his Ph.D. They moved to Lawrence, Kan., where she and Bob raised three children. Jo was active in Scouts as a Girl Scout leader and den mother. She began a pottery career for the next 33 years.
In Iowa City, she was an active member of Four Seasons Garden Club. She also enjoyed bird watching, traveling, gardening and cooking.
As per her request, there will not be a funeral service.
