Moroney, Matrona E.
Matrona E. Moroney, 93, of Independence, formerly of the Monti area, died Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 22, 2009, at Buchanan County Long Term Care Center in Independence. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Monti, with the Rev. Aloysius J. Vorwald officiating. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Quasqueton, where a rosary will be recited at 3 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the church.
She is survived by five children, Carol Ann (Lee) Bossom of Quasqueton, Rosemary (Dick) Rummell of Masonville, Patrick (Colleen) Moroney of Monti, Judy (Jeff) Corkery of Peosta and Terry (Mary) Moroney of Monti; 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
