SWISHER, IA - Andrea Lea Gross of Swisher, IA and Jacob Casey Sommer of North Liberty, IA announce their engagement.

Andrea is the daughter of Alan and Sharon Gross of Amana, IA. Jake is the son of Tiny and Tess Sommer of Winfield, IA.

Andrea is employed as a radiologic technologist for Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Jake is employed as assistant director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Iowa.

Pastor Paul Akin will preside over the November 7. 2009, wedding ceremony at First United Methodist Church in Iowa City, IA.
