Bicyclists, please obey the stop signs

Cyclists, as you enjoy the bike-friendly downtown Cedar Rapids has worked to make for you, please observe the rules of the road.
Once, I had to slam on my brakes to avoid a cyclist who ran a stop sign. Another cyclist running a stop sign nearly hit my friend and me as we walked a crosswalk. (A car coming from the same direction dutifully obeyed the stop sign).
Please do your part to help keep downtown a safe place for all types of commuters.
