McMaster, Gerald L. 'Jerry'
Gerald L. “Jerry” McMaster, 75, of Iowa City, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at his home. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church, with the Reverend Sam Massey officiating. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Wednesday until the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Jerry's memory.

Gerald Lewis McMaster was born May 29, 1934, in Mason City, the son of Harold and Ruth (Lindsay) McMaster. He moved to Iowa City with his family, attending Iowa City schools, graduating from City High School with the class of 1953. He attended the University of Iowa, and later enlisted with the United States Marines. On Feb. 20, 1960, Jerry was united in marriage to Joyce L. Hevern at the First Presbyterian Church (Old Brick) in Iowa City. For over thirty years he was employed by Moore Business Forms in Iowa City.
Jerry was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Iowa City, member of the Moose Lodge in Muscatine, and the Coralville American Legion Post. He enjoyed watching most sports, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes and spending time with his City High School Alumni's every month for good conversation. His huskies, most recently, Angel, was always at his side. He loved his family, especially as the grandchildren came along, and being a part of their lives.
His family includes his wife of nearly 50 years, Joyce; son and his wife, Scott and Cathy McMaster of Iowa City, and his three grandchildren, Brittany, Colton, and MacKenzie McMaster.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.
