Fire damages home in southwest Cedar Rapids

A Cedar Rapids home was damaged by a fire on Monday night. The fire started at about 7:45PM at 1337 19th Avenue Southwest.
Firefighters says the fire was only in the laundry area, but caused heavy smoke damage throughout the rest of the house. The owners were not home at the time of the fire.
The fire remains under investigation.
