When will we see road improvements?

Is anyone else wondering why trails seems to be a bigger priority than fixing our deplorable streets?
We are told O Avenue will be closed for a month, but that could be debatable due to weather conditions and because a trail will be built alongside it.
O Avenue is so rough and has, for the majority of the summer, been closed to through traffic. Yet, we have been advised the street will not be resurfaced until 2021.
People voted in good faith on the 10 cent gasoline tax for 10 years to fix streets.
Yet, how many streets - other than those downtown - have been resurfaced in the city's residential neighborhoods?
Are trails being paid for with the streets' gas tax? How many will be brave enough to walk or run the trails?
Let's get to the streets.
