Marion annexation will come with a fight

The city of Marion has finally taken on the daunting task of attempting to annex (either voluntary or involuntary) approximately 120 existing acres plus homesites off 10th Street north of the Linn-Mar main campus.
Even if the city is successful in dragging its new bride to the altar, she will be kicking and screaming and it will soon find out that it is a marriage from hell and it will pay dearly for the rest of its life. Is there such a thing as annexation divorce?
