The person in charge of facilities maintenance for the Iowa City school district has resigned.
Physical Plant Director Paul Schultz's last day will be Sept. 7, the district announced Tuesday. He has been in his position for eight years.
Dave McKenzie, the assistant physical plant director, will serve as interim director.
Schultz is the latest administrator to leave the district, following former chief financial officer Paul Bobek, who resigned in January, and former human resources director Jim Pedersen, who retired at the end of the school year.
A news release gave no reason for the resignation. Neither Schultz nor Superintendent Stephen Murley immediately returned phone messages seeking comment Tuesday morning.
