Thomas, Brett Charles
Brett Charles Thomas, 66, of Panama City, Fla., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Feb. 27, 2011, in a Panama City hospital. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Survivors include his wife, Diane; a son, Dane Thomas; a brother, Jim Thomas and wife Kerry of Anamosa; a sister, Jan K. Bressler and husband Greg of Independence; an aunt, Elva Boyse of Marion; four nieces; six nephews; many cousins; and a very good friend, Jim Goldsberry of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brecht and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Thomas; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Gary Thomas.
Born March 16, 1944, Brett graduated from Jefferson High School in 1961 and served in the Air Force. He married Diane, his very loving and caring wife, in 1974. They have one son and one grandson.
He will be greatly missed.
