Buitron, Pedro C. 'Pete' Jr.
Pedro C. “Pete” Buitron Jr., 57, of Angleton, Texas, formerly Marion, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010, after a long illness. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Stroud Funeral Home for family and friends to attend.
Pete was born Nov. 2, 1952, in Kingsville, Texas, to Pedro Sr. and Armendina Buitron. He attended HM King High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1970 to 72. He was a roughneck for many years. He also was a route salesman for Kenworth of Cedar Rapids.
He is survived by wife, Tracy; and sons, Travis and Derek, all of Angleton; his mother, Armendina; brothers, Tony and Eddie; and sisters, Nina (Arnold), Liz (Tony), and Nilda (Roger); sisters-in-law, Robin Rendon and Dawn Cole Haak (Glen); and many uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces, and cousins, too numerous to mention.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Pete loved to fish and was a former member of the CR Bassmasters. Boating and time with family and friends were his passion. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Hospice. Words cannot express the gratitude felt for the superior care given to Pete. Special thanks to son Derek and Tony Webb for their dedication to Pete, and to Dawn, love and appreciation for her daily musical therapy to comfort Pete.
