Michael Henry Corso was born Jan. 19, 1943, in Iowa City, the son of Joseph X. and Ethel (Gifford) Corso. He attended Iowa City's City High in the early 1960s and remained in this area his entire life. On May 1, 1975, he married Mary K. Mutchler. Several years after their marriage they moved to North Liberty, and that has been home ever since.
Mike enjoyed time outdoors: hunting, fishing or on a boat; if he was outside, he was happy! Mike also spent a lot of time supporting, helping and encouraging both Nate and Paul in their years with Boy Scouts. He worked many years for the City of Coralville and before that at Linder Tire.
His family includes his wife, Mary; sons, Nate Corso of North Liberty and Paul (Amanda) Corso of Washington, and their infant son, Mike's grandson, Michael Jamison; siblings, Wencie Reynolds of Hillsboro, Iowa and Joe (Linda) Corso of West Liberty; and sisters-in-law, Karen (Steve) Mutchler, Linda Mutchler, Jane Corso and Amy Corso. Mike's family also includes numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Richard and Robert Corso.
