Seda, Alice L.
Alice L. Seda, 96, of Hiawatha, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at the Hiawatha Care Center. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Monday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Burial: St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids.
Alice was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Oct. 16, 1913. She was a lifetime member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, a Eucharistic minister, member of the Rosary Society, St. Wenceslaus Alumni, Dominic Club and Czech Heritage Society. She was a graduate of St. Wenceslaus High School and attended St. Mary's College. Alice was employed as a secretary for many years at New Hampshire Insurance Co.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Katherine (Sebetka) Seda; and a sister, Patricia Bousek.
Survivors include two brothers, Charlie and Joe (Sharon) Seda; a sister, Helen (Seda) Popek; and many nieces and nephews.
