Babb, Harry C.
Harry C. Babb, 83, of Berryville, Ark., formerly of the Coggon area, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, following a lingering illness. Services and interment will be held later this month in House Springs, Mo.
Harry was born Nov. 23, 1925, near Vale, S.D., the youngest of five children to Harry and Rose Babb. He was a minister for several years with Assemblies of God and he and his wife served in churches mostly in Arizona. After his retirement from full-time ministry, Harry continued to serve in several churches in various capacities.
He was very gifted and talented in many things, and in his later years did maintenance, remodeling and mechanical work through his own small business. He loved life and his greatest joy came in proclaiming God's love and gift of salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ, God's son. He also loved helping people, especially those in need, and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Harry is survived by three daughters, Bonnie, Jill and Kimberly; one son, Bruce; two sisters, Aylo Bell of Coggon and Gloria Dlouhy of Lebanon, Ore.; numerous nieces and nephews; and many grandchildren.
Harry was preceded in death by his mother and father; his wife, Ione; and two brothers, Glen and Vernon.
