Candidates should not buy their votes

Regarding the June 22 letter 'Fred Hubbell's wealth not a factor”:
I am a registered Democrat. I admit I got 'angry” going to my mailbox during the Democratic primary and getting another flier from Fred Hubbell. I do not mind getting one or two. But there was a time period, every other day, I was getting another flier from Hubbell. It got to the point where I declared myself ABH - Anybody But Hubbell. Did not matter. He outspent his nearest opponent by over five times. I am sick and tired of people spending massive amounts of money just to get elected. Elections should not be 'bought.”
I am just not convinced we need another wealthy politician. Have we not learned anything, putting up with Rep. Rod Blum and President Donald Trump?
