A Chicago man who allegedly robbed a pizza delivery in July has been arrested and brought back to Iowa City.
After learning of a warrant for his arrest, Chicago police arrested Gregory Martin Tyshon Jackson, 20, in September, and on Tuesday he was transported to the Johnson County Jail, according to Iowa Courts Online.
Police said Jackson was identified by witnesses and co-defendants as one of group of 10 to 15 young black men who ordered a pizza to 61 Regal Lane on July 25 where Jackson struck the delivery driver in the neck area and took the pizzas, according to police.
Police also said he took the pizzas to celebrate his birthday.
Jackson is charged with second-degree robbery and remains in the Johnson County Jail on a $11,000 cash-only bond.
A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. at the Johnson County District Courthouse.
