UPDATE: Land line and 911 telephone service has been restored for several Johnson County communities, after a severe thunderstorm that went through the area Sunday morning knocked out service to
Sharon Telephone Company users in Johnson County.
The affected prefixes were (319) 679-XXXX and (319) 683- XXXX. The outage involved customers in Hills, Sharon Center, Frytown and Wyndham, officials said.
