Spies, Harold
Harold Spies, 80, of rural West Union, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at his home from a lengthy illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Catholic Church. Visitation: 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Burnham-Wood Funeral Home in West Union, with a rosary at 4 p.m., Scripture service at 7 p.m. and Knights of Columbus rosary at 7:30 p.m. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; four sons, Gary (Patsy) of Elgin, Paul (Barbara) of West Union, Mark (Joni) of Hawkeye and Harold David (Julie) of St. Peter, Mo.; and a daughter, Cathy (Paul) Trafelet of Hawkeye.
