Parking ramp demolition crews hit Cedar Rapids water main
Crews demolishing the former First Street parking ramp in downtown Cedar Rapids hit a water main today,cutting off the water supply to the Linn County Jail.
A temporary water line was being set up to supply fresh water to the jail on a temporary basis while crews fix the line. The repairs could take six hours or more, officials said.
The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m.today. Check back for updates.
