Should Iowa keep Iowa State on the football schedule?

Earlier today, Iowa announced that it will be scheduling Nebraska the day after Thanksgiving. Last week, it was released that the Big Ten is also thinking about the possibility of having a 9 game regular season.
This would only leave 3 non-conference games for Iowa to schedule. This gets football minds turning and one of the questions raised was if Iowa would possibly drop Iowa State from the football schedule?
I posed this question to my Facebook and Twitter followers. The responses were humorous and insightful, take a look for yourself:
What does everyone think about Iowa possibly dropping Iowa State on the football schedule and should Iowa keep them?
Tyler Raymond(Facebook): Yes, because of tradition
Shawneemicks(Twitter): No, play all games at Kinnick or drop em
nhestbach(Twitter): no, i hate playing them every year
@kEvanson:(Twitter): I think it's fine. We don't need to be reminded every year why Iowa is a superior football program
Eric Detemmerman(Facebook): Yes, it's fun for the state, exciting
@proesler(Twitter): DO IT!
@whitetails(Twitter): are u nuts! #ISU is still the game in Iowa. Atleast until the NEB rivalry heats up.
Brian Quint(Facebook): I would rather keep isu on the schedule than play a friday game against nebraska...for some reason a friday college football game doesn't sit well with me still
David Norgren(Facebook): zero benefit for Iowa. We are expected to win and if we lose to a team who wants nothing more than to beat us its a huge sore spot on our record.
@HawkeyeFos(Twitter): love the chance to increase the strength of schedule and get rid of a chance for ISU to play their only good game of the year
Curt Dezeeuw(Facebook): Replace them with UNI
@tecmohawk(Twitter): In A Heartbeat
@hawkelly(Twitter): I don't feel that we gain anything from playing ISU so I am in favor of dropping them
@JasonMcArtor(Twitter): I will not miss playing ISU...game is a lose-lose IMO
Robbie Rounds(Facebook): We have to play them in every sport in order to assert our dominance as the premier school in this state. Just let them know who big brother is.
@HawkAye79(Twitter): I would say yes but only if they are willing to renegotiate a more favorable contract. ISU gets more out of this series than Iowa
Drew Feller(Facebook): W/o a doubt we need to keep the cyclone rivalry going...for one the bragging rights help with in state recruiting not to mention those who have attended a ISU Iowa game the atmosphere is incomparable to anyone else on the schedule
Thank you to everyone who sent responses. As of right now the dropping of ISU is only a possibility but it is a very real one. In my opinion, Iowa should drop the series. As much as I will hate not beating ISU all the time, it is truly a no win situation for Iowa in anyway. Time to cut the cord.
