Kostichek, Angeline A.
Angeline A. Kostichek, 90, of Wyoming, Iowa, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at the Westwing Place in DeWitt. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oxford Junction. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lahey Funeral Home in Oxford Junction, where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation also will be held an hour before services Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in the Mayflower Cemetery, Oxford Junction.
Angeline Anna Ruley was born August 16, 1921, in Oxford Junction, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Vonesh) Ruley. She married James G. Kostichek on Feb. 17, 1942, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oxford Junction. He died on Jan. 25, 1993.
She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband on the Century Family Farm.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oxford Junction, and its Sanctuary Guild. She enjoyed gardening and loved to raise flowers, baking, crocheting, photography and singing with the Czech Group in Oxford Junction.
She is survived by eight nieces and nephews, Cathy (Orville) Barnhart, Rita Carlon, Jo Ann (Herb) Carmichael, all of Davenport, John (Linda) Kostichek of Walcott, Steve (Sandy) Ruley of Earlville, Betty (Tim) Bruck of Cascade, Albert (Linda) Ruley of Earlville and Jeanne Luensman of Epworth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Frank and Edward; and one sister, Marie.
Memorials may be given to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oxford Junction.
