Iowa City school board candidates to hold campaign events

IOWA CITY – Two Iowa City school board candidates have events planned for this weekend.
Gregg Geerdes will be at the downtown Iowa City Farmers Market Saturday morning and then the North Liberty Community Library, 520 W. Cherry St., 1:30-3 p.m. Saturday to take comments and answer questions.
Jason Lewis is hosting what he is calling an “All Community Fun Day” from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Wetherby Park, 2400 Taylor Dr. Activities will include free ice cream, use of the splash pad and face painting.
The school board election is Sept. 10. Nine candidates are running for three seats.
