Ruegsegger, Ila Marie (Hindahl)
Ila Marie (Hindahl) Ruegsegger passed away Feb. 26, 2010. For the last seven years she resided at Parkveiw Manor, Wellman,
She was born Sept. 23, 1920, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of the late George and Cora (Boileau) Hindahl. Ila was married for 69 years to her husband, Delmar Reugsegger. They lived in the Wellman area all of their married life.
Delmar and Ila Ruegsegger were well known for their annual “Hog Roast.” This 13-year event brought hundreds of people from far and wide each year and was enjoyed by both family and friends.
Mrs. Ruegsegger is survived by her five loving daughters, Patricia and Bill Wilmot, Wellman, Iowa, Lorna and Tony Powell, The Villages, Fla, m Vicki and Wayne Fry, Washington, Iowa, Jeani Croudy, Cathedral City, Calif., and Lisa and Bill Steckly, Wellman, Iowa. Ila is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Michael Hutchinson, Terry Hutchinson, William Sueppel, Brent Sueppel, Charlotte Fry, Nicole Fry, Billy Jo Harms, Bryan Steckly, Mikayla Steckly and Eli Steckly; and nine great-grandchildren, Taylor Hutchinson, Ava Hutchinson, Stephen Hutchinson, Alissa Sueppel, Jacob Sueppel, Jarred Ruegsegger, Madyson Ruegsegger, Evita Harms and T.J. Hutchinson.
Preceding Ila in death were her parents; her husband, Delmar Ruegsegger; and two grandsons, Stephen Hutchinson and Todd Ruegsegger.
A memorial fund has been established for Iowa Hospice or the hospice of your choosing.
Our mother's request was to be cremated and that there be no visitation or funeral services. The daughters are respectfully honoring her final wishes.
