Prison inmates are not on vacation
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Cry me a river. Inmates should be made to think about where they are and why (July 21 story titled “Black Hawk inmates say they're not fed enough”).
If they wanted a luxury suite with steak and baked potatoes, then they should not have done something to put them in jail. Perhaps a little suffering will make them think the next time and not want to come back. They should be thankful they are not just getting bread and water. This is a jail, not a vacation.
