Volunteering for Honor Flight was amazing

Recently I had the opportunity to serve as a volunteer guardian on the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight for two Vietnam War era veterans. This was an amazing experience from stem to stern.

The organization, its many volunteers and sponsors are deserving of huge thanks. The trip to our nation's capital was perfect in every way.

Check-in at the Eastern Iowa Airport and arrival at Reagan National Airport were flawless. Tour bus guides provided insightful, meaningful information.

Every step of the way, as we visited many national monuments, Eastern Iowa Honor Flight leaders went above and beyond the call of duty to assure that all attendees, veterans and guardians alike, received five-star service. Good food, plenty of cold water and abundant smiles.

Thank you Eastern Iowa Honor Flight for this once in a lifetime experience.
