Construction making progress on Cedar Rapids' westside
John Takes of Urbana fills imperfections in corner wraps as construction continues Friday at the Cedar Rapids Public Library's new westside branch at the former Stuff Etc. location. The $2 million project is expected to open on Feb. 23.
Across from the library site, Jessie Westbrook of Cedar Rapids nails a truss to a side of a wall for a new Pizza Ranch restaurant. The buildings are located across Williams Boulevard SW from Westdale Mall.
