Letter: Candidates do not measure up to expectations

As the presidential primary process grinds along, barring a major surprise, each party heads into the homestretch with a few surviving candidates.
Currently, the world has myriad problems. Growing Islamic terrorism and a potential global recession are two of the more serious. Whether by choice or by default, the U.S. must take a leadership role in the world community to help address these and other critical issues. Our next president will be the face of that leadership - hopefully a strong, thoughtful, reasonable president.
In my view, no one of the current five candidates measures up to that expectation. But 'none of the above” will not be a ballot choice in November. Is there any chance a more reasonable choice emerges before November?
