Trump, Clinton coming to Iowa

DES MOINES - Fresh from their first nationally televised debate, presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are making return engagements to Iowa this week.

Trump, the Republican nominee, will hold a rally Wednesday at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs where the campaign will launch Iowa Christian Conservatives for Trump and encourage supporters to cast their ballots when Iowa begins early voting on Thursday.

Speakers at the Council Bluffs rally will include Tamara Scott and Steve Scheffler, both co-chairs of Iowa Christian Conservatives for Trump and members of the Republican National Committee, as well as Trump Iowa Coalitions Director Rev. Jamie Johnson and Senior Advisor Tana Goertz. Trump's campaign originally scheduled the event in Ottumwa but moved it to Council Bluffs on Tuesday.

On day after Trump's Iowa visit, Clinton - the Democratic nominee - will hold a campaign event in downtown Des Moines on Thursday to coincide with the first day of early voting in Iowa. Campaign officials say Clinton will lay out the stakes of November's election and urge Iowans to vote early and support her vision for America for the next four years.
