Dems rarely mentioned compromise until now

I have been hearing a lot about how the Republicans in Congress have been holding the middle class hostage lately. This seems awfully strange since the Republicans don't even have control of Congress yet and the Democrats could still pass anything they wanted.
Thank God that the nice compromising Democrats got everything in place to protect the middle class, while those mean Republicans were trying to line the pockets of their millionaire and billionaire friends.
I have a feeling we are going to hear a lot more about compromise in the next two years. Why is it that compromise is talked about so much when you are not in power, but when you are, it is barely mentioned?
To sum it up, the Democrats and lefties will be using this type of Marxist word game to trick people into thinking that the Republicans are governing against the will of the people and that the Democrats are just waiting to save the world with their new progressive ideas in the next election!
