Opportunity made Hach business possible

It was a sad day to see Great-Grandpa Pete Hach's tavern come down, but after two floods, 1929 and 2008, the damage was just too severe to save.
The Hach family wishes to thank the Save CR Heritage team and Beth DeBoom, in particular, for a gallant effort. Our ancestors arrived from Plsen, Bohemia, in the 1850s and settled near Clutier and Dysart. Our family went from farmers to successful businessmen and only in America could this opportunity come along like it did.
My grandpa, Peter Hach Jr., was the last operator of the tavern named Hach. To the other owners over the next 70 years, congratulations on your business efforts as well. Let's hope that the next project on the corner lasts 113 years as well. Location, location, location.
