Letter: Work together to build a safer community

Violence at St. Jude Sweet Corn Festival? Why? Hard to imagine this would go on at a fundraising event for the school and church.
One idea for a resolution to this issue of violence is crowd control using police with K-9 and/or horse patrol units. We need to bring back the CRPD helicopter. We need to be proactive vs. reactive.
Time to make changes, spend money and feel safe. Can you put a price on safety and security for your family?
