Officials respond to motorcycle crash on Interstate 80
The Iowa County Sheriff's Department, Oxford Fire Department and Iowa State Patrol responded to a motorcycle accident on eastbound Interstate 80 near mile marker 228, between Oxford and Amana, just before noon today.
Workers loaded the mangled motorcycle on to a flatbed tow truck. An Iowa County ambulance was also seen leaving the scene, with lights flashing, headed east toward Iowa City.
Eastbound traffic was backed up about three miles from the accident scene.
