Wauters, Patrick L.
Patrick L. Wauters, 58, of 3529 Elmwood Ct. NE, died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital from complications of kidney disease. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Private family inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy, one daughter, Kimberly, and a son, Kevin, all of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Kathleen Kester of Marshalltown; brother, Tom (Kathryn) of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and a half-sister, Anita (Bruce) Levis of Marshalltown. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Pat was born on Jan. 5, 1954, in Belle Plaine, the son of Leonard and Kathleen Edelen Wauters, and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1977. He married Nancy L. Vavroch on July 3, 1976, in Tama. Pat was employed, prior to his illness, at City Wide Construction for many years.
Pat enjoyed watching the Hawkeyes, playing tennis, model railroading, golf, and especially the time spent with his beloved family and many friends. He was a very talented artist who did sketching as well as drawing cartoons. Pat was a wonderful person who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
