A Hills group will host a forum for Iowa City school board candidates Aug. 29.
The event starts at 7 p.m. at the Hills Community Center, 110 Main St. E., Hills. Candidates will be introduced and there will be a question-and-answer session.
As of Monday afternoon, eight candidates had confirmed they would attend, according to Judy Cambridge, a member of the Coalition for a Greater Hills Community. James Tate and Jeff Alden had not yet responded, she said.
The school board has five at-large seats open in the Sept. 13 election. One is a two-year term to fill former board member Mike Cooper's term and the rest are for four years.
