Kramer, Kris L.
Kris L. Kramer, 57, of Earlville, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral mass: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Earlville, by the Rev. Dennis Quint. Visitation: 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home, Earlville, where there will be a 6 p.m. wake service. Additional visitation from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Earlville.
Kristine was born Jan. 6, 1953, in Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn and LaRue (Elher) Thompson. On June 3, 1972, Kris was united in marriage to Thomas Kramer at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Earlville. Kris was self-employed as a massage therapist for nine years.
Kris was involved in community theater, enjoyed reading books, puzzles, camping and playing golf. One of her favorite times was coloring and spending time with the grandchildren.
Kris is survived by her husband, Thomas Kramer of Earlville; her mother, LaRue Thompson of Delhi; children, Ted (Jess) Kramer of Ankeny, Tim (Kristi) Kramer of Earlville, Brian (Lori) Kramer of Atkins, and Beth Kramer of Fort Dodge; nine grandchildren, Bailey Gallagher, Isaac Kramer, Ryland Kramer, Annika Kramer, Jaxson Kramer, Avery Kramer, Nolan Kramer, Dallas Burkett and McKenna Kramer; siblings, Jim Mann of Guttenburg, Don and Linda Swanson of Walford, and Corey and Karla Thompson of Delhi; and her mother-in-law, Arlene Kramer.
Kris was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Thompson; a grandson, Brevin Kramer; and siblings, Sue Mann and David Thompson.
A memorial fund has been established.
