Tackman, Ervin Arthur

Ervin Arthur Tackman, 79, of Garnavillo, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at the Guttenberg Care Center due to many health problems.

Survivors include his wife, Joann; stepchildren, Dr. Cathryn (Dr. Bradley Ph.D.) Wright Ph.D. of Storrs, Conn., Jonathan Entner of White Bear Lake, Minn., and Crista (Monte) Byrom of Glendale, Ariz.; three grandsons, Joshua and Gabriel Wright and Samuel Byrom; and one granddaughter, Megan Byrom. Also his brothers, Kenneth (Brenda) Tackman and Robert (Shirley) Tackman; a niece, Julie (Frank) Davis; and grandniece, Elle Davis, all of Garnavillo; his uncle, Arthur Esmann of Guttenberg; and sisters-in-law, Paula (Serge) Sisler of Anamosa, Susan Freese of Waukon and Mrs. Irene Freese of Guttenberg.

Ervin was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers-in-law and friend, Roger H. Freese and Henry Freese.

Ervin's written wishes were not to have a funeral and his wishes are being honored.

Graveside services will be held at Clayton Cemetery at a later date.
