Professor shows disdain for military

The recent diatribe by Thomas Walker, an Iowa State educator who criticized sending care packages to troops overseas, is a familiar refrain heard by anti-war left sycophants who have occasionally regurgitated anti-American talking points since 9/11.
His despicable opinion isn't too surprising when you investigate the minds of many educators on American college campuses. Michael Avery of Suffolk University Law School echoed similar sentiments, explaining that we shouldn't “send packages to people who kill other human beings.” Witness professor Ward Churchill's now famous attack on those killed on 9/11 saying “They were targeting those people I referred to as ‘little Eichmanns.' These were legitimate targets.” Professor Nicholas De Genova said that he hoped U.S. soldiers would experience “a million Mogadishus,” a reference to the bloody losses U.S. troops suffered in the Battle of Mogadishu in 1993.
This issue isn't about care packages; it is a not-so-thinly veiled attempt to excoriate the military and its members. Walker is another in a long line of anti-American leftist to spout nonsense regarding the two wars fought the last decade, and by fiat, our troops serving proudly.
As a two-time Iraq veteran, I support Walker's right to spout his drivel. I am writing to exercise my own right to point out he is one of many who despise our troops and anything to do with the military.
